The belief that the legislative regulation of lobbying will reform the policy-making in Cyprus was expressed by the Member of the Board of Directors of Cyprus Association of Lobbyists & Public Affairs Professionals, Dr. Nicolas Kyriakides, in an interview with the magazine InBusiness.
As Dr. Kyriakides mentions, the regulation of lobbying will promote participatory democracy, while at the same time it is expected to contribute to the efforts against corruption and the cultivation of a culture of accountability, transparency and meritocracy.
